Step One
Initial Consultation
Your first step is to visit our practice for an initial consultation with our certified Invisalign provider.
Initial Discussion
Before planning your new smile, we must discuss your oral health. The discussion aims to discover more about your dental concerns and treatment goals. This is all part of the process to help us determine if you are a good candidate for Invisalign.
Initial Dental Exam
An initial dental exam allows our dentist to assess how your teeth bite together and check for bite problems or malocclusion. We will also check for any other problems that may affect treatment planning and effectiveness.

Digital Scanning and Imaging
The next stage is to take a digital dental impression of your teeth using the iTero scanner, a small handheld device. The digital scanner takes thousands of photos of your teeth stitched together to create a highly accurate 3-D digital dental impression.
A digital dental impression is a far more comfortable and precise process. It replaces traditional impression trays filled with goopy impression material. We know many of our patients found those very difficult to wear comfortably without gagging.
Other diagnostic tests can include digital photographs and digital dental x-rays. All the diagnostic information is combined to create your custom treatment plan.
Creating Your Custom Treatment Plan with ClinCheck Software
Invisalign’s proprietary software, called ClinCheck, allows our dentist to create a customized treatment plan tailored to meet your goals and correct misaligned teeth.
Every stage of your treatment is mapped out precisely until your teeth are straightened.
Taking a Sneak Peak at Your New Smile
Invisalign software also creates digital images showing how your new smile could look if you follow the treatment plan precisely.
We are sure you will find this part of the process exciting, and it’s your chance to see if the results match what you expected or if you wish to make any changes. You get to be involved with the treatment planning process.
Once you approve your new smile, we can begin fabricating your new aligners.
Manufacturing Your New Aligners
When your treatment plan is ready, Invisalign will manufacture your custom aligners from SmartTrack Material using a state-of-the-art printing process. This material is thin, durable, strong, and completely clear and results from decades of research and development.
The result is precision-created aligners that fit your mouth exactly. Each set of aligners is carefully designed to be as comfortable as possible, with only smooth edges and nothing that can dig into your cheeks and lips. Your new aligners will apply gentle, precise force, gradually moving your teeth.

What Our Patients Are Saying
Step Two
Receiving and Wearing Your New Aligners
Once your new aligners are ready, you can return to our dental office, and we will show you how to use them. Our Invisalign dentist will explain how to insert and remove them and, most importantly, how to keep them clean.
You can then begin straightening your smile. You will need to come and see us every few weeks. These appointments are quick to check that your teeth are moving as planned.
